light and shade
LUA game developing for dumbies » Devlog

Long time not written so i begin with the hardest task of them all. How to do in 2D something that looks cool and looks like light that even projects shade from hitting buildings etc.
Haha, easy task for an artist? Why? Because it will use textures to project them onto flat screen nothing else. Yes, no special opengl commands to generate shade each update and light that flies around hahaha. Got you this time. Just paint the light on one layer in aseprite, then shade onto another layer and you will see how it looks. Then export and use it as a proffesional developer. No need for the usual complex engines this time. Enjoy one little screen example.
